For competitive body builders today, building bigger muscles in a short span of time is one of the things you need to control. The standard body builder must be in no rush to reach the biceps and triceps they desire, and therefore use any available and natural option to build muscles. Despite a much slower process compared with the use of steroids, but the gains extended far overshadow the undesirable effects that even legal steroids can have on the body during a full phase of time.
Usually, body builders take larger doses and use them for short periods of time, stopping for a moment, and then starting again with another dose. This is referred to as cycling. Steroids do help in building muscles and improving body mass. This sometimes shows a decrease of sex drive, decreases the production of testosterone that could lead to atrophy of one’s testicles.  Females usually experienced increase production of testosterone level thus can lead to an increase growth of hairs and produces male characteristics like deep and low voice, decrease breast size and possible growth of Adam’s apple. It is important to use these steroids according to the package inserted or advice from your physician to avoid any negative and harmful effects.

Myth 2: One will die if you take steroids

Truth:    Steroids are drugs and they are usually given to patients with prescriptions from your physician. Even any kind of drug such as aspirin can cause severe problems if taken in large doses. All drugs should not be abused because of its fatal consequences and it is not just steroids.

Myth 3: Steroids only comes in pills

Truth:    Steroids come in different preparations such as oral and injectable. The injectable form is more of androgenic substance that can enhance male characteristics like hair growth and deepening of the voice. The oral once are more of anabolic in nature in which contains more serious side effects because these oral steroids need to be metabolized by your liver. There are many classifications of steroids, some of them have tendencies to increase your muscle mass and some of them can increase your strength.

Myth 4: Steroids can make someone crazy

Truth:    Steroids cannot make someone go crazy or go into psychiatric illness. But according to studies, a person who takes steroids in long duration undergoes depression especially during the cessation or break period. To decrease the chances of getting into depression during the cessation stage, some people take post cycle drugs to maintain the levels of testosterone in their body.
